Meet Us / Current Residents / Class of 2021

Fenil Patel, MD, MBA, Chief Resident

University of Medicine & Health Science – St. Kitts.

When looking for a residency program, Chief Resident Dr. Patel sought a well-established program that prepares its residents for real-world medicine. He wanted to be very comfortable practicing outpatient, ER, and hospital medicine. At Sioux Falls Family Medicine Residency, he experienced the dedicated faculty who care about him not only as a physician but also about his personal well-being.

Dr. Patel’s loves include Mexican food, playing sports like cricket, and hitting the trails with his lovely wife. In fact, he hopes to backpack in the foothills of the Himalayas someday. His advice to MS4s is to enjoy the MATCH process, exploring what makes every program unique since you will spend many hours investing in the program.
